Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand thinks Erik ten Hag should not be able to stay in charge of the team next season even if they can lead the team to succeed the FA Cup.
The Red Devils ended the season on a failed note by finishing 8th in the table, the lowest position for a Premier League club and the worst position since 1990, UFABET or 34 years ago, when the team finished 13th.
The only hope remaining is the Trophy FA Cup, where the team competes in the final against Manchester City, but even though Ten Hag eventually leads the team to the championship, Rio still thinks it shouldn’t be. Continue to control the team
“The more I think about it, win or lose, I don’t think Ten Hag should be in charge next season,” Rio said on Five’s YouTube channel.
“I’m not saying that’s what I want. I’m just saying what I believe will happen and I believe the club will look for another way, I think.”
“I don’t think that. What will [winning the FA Cup] change in Ineos’ eyes? I didn’t talk to anyone there. This is just an assumption, this is what I think.”
Thomas Tuchel and Gareth Southgate are the favourites to replace Ten Hag. If he is sacked. But Ferdinand insisted Sir Jim Ratcliffe must prioritise a manager with tactical nous for their next appointment.
‘If I was Man United now, and I was INEOS. Or I was advising them now, I would go and get a coach. I want the best coach around,’ he ended.
